Athos lives in Sweden and we are grateful for the  opportunity to use him.  Bred by FCI breeder judge Petra Junehall, who has been breeding Leonbergers since 1982, Athos is a big boy at 31" at the withers and 150 lbs with a fluid side gait, outstanding temperament, and beautiful coat. His pedigree goes back to some special Leonbergers from Norway, Sweden, and Finland.

Zoe is a big sweet girl at ~130lbs and 29" at the withers with beautiful movement and a lovely coat.  She loves people of all ages and gets along well with other dogs.  She combines the best from two incredible European breeders with the Namupalan kennel on her father's side and the Skjaergaarden kennel on her mother's side.  We can't wait to see what her babies look like!

Rocky lives in Canada and has produced some lovely puppies.  He is about 30" tall and ~145 lbs with a beautiful head and excellent bone, substance, and Leonberger type.  His outstanding structure and angulation is reflected in his clean and fluid ground-covering movement, with a correct front and rear.  Rocky's pedigree brings together some great Leonbergers from Finland, Denmark, and the U.S.

Litter Q

Espresso Sir M. aus dem Sumpfloch "Resso"  (Germany)

Hips: A:B  |  Elbows: 0:0  |  Eyes: Clear

Pedigree  |  Picture Gallery  |  Health Information

Resso was imported from Germany to Finland in 2005.  We are happy to be able to use his frozen semen for this breeding, as he passed away in 2015.  He has sired some lovely dogs over the years, including our "L" litter in 2021.  He was approximately 30" at the withers and about 150 lbs, with an outstanding temperament which he passed on to his puppies.  Described as a well-developed strong-boned balanced male with excellent movement and breed type, he was a water dog who loved everyone he met.

CH Kalahari's Iridescent Gypsy    "Mira"

Hips: Excellent  |  Elbows: Normal  Eyes: Clear
Thyroid/LPN1/LPN2/LPPN3/LEMP: Clear

Pedigree  |  Picture Gallery  |  Health Information

Mira finished her AKC championship quickly and is the dam of our M litter.  She has a perfect Leonberger temperament, loving all people she meets, and getting along well with other dogs.  She exudes joy and happiness and is always up to play!  Mira's siblings have done well, with three obtaining AKC championships, and her brother, Bensen, is one of the top working Leonbergers with titles in water work, drafting, obedience, and agility.  Mira has lovely structure, very clean movement, and we look forward to this combination.

Our puppies are very special to us and we seek equally special homes for them.  We do not ship our puppies, because we like to meet our puppy owners in person.  Our puppies are raised in a home setting and exposed to a variety of puppy-sized activities, surfaces, and obstacles.  We conduct a complete structural evaluation at 8 weeks, as well as evaluate temperaments in order to match the right puppy to each home.  Prior to going home, each puppy is microchipped, dewormed, introduced to a crate, and given a clean bill of health by our veterinarian.

We highly recommend that you attend local Leonberger gatherings in your area in order to get a better idea of what it is like to be around Leonbergers. Once you get your dog, this will also prove to be a good support system for you. In addition to this, we also strongly recommend that you meet at least a few Leonbergers in their home settings to see what living with a Leo is like.
